We are so glad to have you join us as a member of the Durant Family!
Kindergarten Orientation will be held in the Multi-Purpose room from 6:00 to 7:00 on Tuesday, May 17th. Specific information will be sent out to all new kindergarten parents.
Open House for Track 1 students will be held on Monday, June 6 th from 5:30 – 6:30. This is a drop-in event for students and parents to meet their teachers and find their classrooms for the first day of school.
Open House for students on Tracks 2 & 3 will be held on Monday, June 27 th from 5:30 – 6:30. This is a drop-in event for students and parents to meet their teachers and find their classrooms for the first day of school.
Open House for Track 4 students will be held on Thursday, July 28 th from 5:30 – 6:30. This is a drop-in event for students and parents to meet their teachers and find their classrooms for the first day of school.
Each teacher will set up a “Meet the Teacher” session after the first several weeks of school to discuss grade level curriculum and classroom expectations. You will have a variety of opportunities to learn about our school and we invite you to be involved by joining our PTA and participating in the many school and classroom events we have here at Durant.
If you find that you will not be attending Durant Elementary for the new school year, please contact James Underwood, our Data Manager, at junderwood@wcpss.net or call him at 870-4208.
We look forward to meeting you and will see our students on tracks 1, 2 and 3 on Monday, July 11 th and we will see our track 4 students on Monday, August 1 st for their first days of school.
